ARD2010	표현기법	Visual Representation
본 교과목의 목적은 학부과정 학생들이 건축 및 건축공학 설계과정에서 그들의 아이디어와 작업물들을 텍스트, 핸드드로잉, 이미지, 사진, 영상, 도면, 지도, 건축모형 등의 다양한 시각 및 영상매체들을 활용해 정확하고 효과적인 의사소통방법의 학습과 훈련이다. 본 교과는 이론강의, 현장답사, 실습학습을 중심으로 각 분야의 전문가들의 교육으로 진행된다.
One of the primary roles of contemporary designers is to organize and employ intangible information for effective communication. The course will introduce students into the practice of communication skills and organization techniques using narrative texts, photographic description, image processing, video-clip editing, geometric modeling, cartographic mapping, etc.
ARD2011	건축개론	Introduction to Architectural Engineering
건축설계의 디자인 프로세스, 건축 관련 다양한 직업에 대한 소개를 통하여 건축에 대한 포괄적 개념을 이해하고 직업의 주체가 되는 건축가에 대해 학습한다.
lntroductory overview of architectural practice in architectural design and the related fields focusing on design process, building science and construction market, project management, communication with client and developer, social responsibility and professional role, etc.
ARD2003	건축그래픽스	Architectural Graphics
기하학적인 지식을 바탕으로 건축도학의 기초를 익히고 입체공간을 표현하는 여러 가지 평행선도법과 투시도법을 배운다. 기본도형에서 출발하여 여러 가지 형태의 본성을 파악하고 그에 대한 안목과 표현감각을 학습한다.
principles, the basics of architectural graphics such as the usage of the various lines, parallel and perspective projections and how to present the three dimensional space into the two will be introduced. Also various architectural drawings and presentations will be studied and explored to develop required thinking and hands-on skills.
ARD2013	건축과 사회	Social Syntax and Configuration
다양한 정치, 문화, 사회, 경제적 요소들이 역사적으로 건축에 어떠한 영향을 주어 왔으며, 이러한 사회구조를 반영하는 건축은 구체적으로 어떠한 변화를 겪어왔는가에 관한 건축의 이해를 목적으로 한다.

ARD2023	건축설계1	Architectural Design I
본격적인 건축설계의 준비과정으로 도시라는 컨텍스트에서 건축물의 기능과 역할, 건축공간의 질과 형태의 질서 체계를 강의, 현장답사, 스케치, 도면작업 등을 통해 학습한다. 건축물의 미니어처 및 디지털 모델링을 통해 건축공간의 구축과 형태를 경험하고, 이들의 도면화 작업을 실습한다.
This course addresses broader architectural and urban issues. Students will develop highly complex projects with large-scale programmatic requirements. In addition to the continued exploration of advanced architectural theories, building technology within the context of design will be examined. Drawing and model making with a variety of materials will be refined. Computer 3-D modeling and rendering will be incorporated into the design process. The final work will be assembled into a student portfolio.
ARD2024	건축설계2	Architectural Design II
본격적인 건축설계의 두 번째 준비과정으로 건축공간의 규모, 형태, 용도, 질을 결정하는 건축공간의 사용자 및 클라이언트의 요구와 이를 반영한 건축공간의 프로그래밍을 강의, 현장답사, 스케치, 도면작업, 리서치 등을 통해 학습한다.
This course continues to address broader architectural and urban issues as well as sustainability design. Students will develop highly complex projects with large-scale programmatic requirements. Building technology will be explored in depth. Students will utilize and become proficient with a variety of computer drawing, sketching, modeling and rendering programs to develop their designs. Both verbal and graphic presentations will be refined. The final work will be assembled into a student portfolio.

건물의 구조에 관한 기초이론과 그 역학적 원리, 그리고 구조시스템의 다양한 건축 구조시스템의 특성과 적용방법을 이해한다.

ARD2019	서양건축사	History of Western Architecture
현대의 건축술 발달의 근간을 이루고 있는 서양건축을 시대적 발달에 비추어 공부한다. 건축양식의 발달과정과 문화사적 영향, 기술의 발달 등을 배운다. 시각적 양식비교를 익힌다.
A study of the Western Architecture as the basis of development of modern architecture. We will learn development processes of the architectural style, cultural influences and technological innovation, and architectural expression.
ARD2020	건축설계입문	Introduction to Archirectural Design
건축설계 입문과정으로서 자연-도시-건축으로 구성되는 건축적 환경에 대한 구체적인 분석과 근원적인 물음을 바탕으로 근본적인 건축설계 과제들을 해결한다. 건축설계기초스튜디오와 긴밀하게 연계되어 건축공간의 표현기술을 구축하는 것이 주된 목표이다.
As an introductory architectural design course the natural – urban – architectural design solution process is base on the detailed analysis and fundamental questions of architectural environment consisting of building. The studio of Introduction to Archirectural Design is closely aligned with the primary goal to construct a representation technology of architectural space.
ARD4044	실내건축디자인론	Theory of Interior Architecture Design
실내건축디자인의 기본개념을 이해하고 고대부터 현대까지 실내건축디자인의 특성과 배경을 강의한다. 공간 작품분석과 가구, 조명, 색채, 마감재료 등 공간구성요소의 특성을 학습한다.
Understand the basic concepts of interior architecture design and lecture on the characteristics and background of interior architecture design from ancient times to modern times. Learn about the analysis of spatial works and the characteristics of spatial components such as furniture, lighting, colors, and finishing materials.
ARD2022	건축CAD	Architectural CAD
본 수업은 최근 화두가 되고 있는 디지털 건축에 대해 배워보는 시간으로 수업을 통해 단순히 툴을 배우는 수준을 넘어서 디지털 디자인의 배경과 프로세스 탐구를 통해 새로운 방법론을 습득한다. 또한 디지털 건축의 기초인 캐드 사용법을 익히고 2D도면을 3D로 작성하는 프로그램과 방법을 익혀본다. 나아가 프레젼테이션을 완성하는 단계에 필요한 이미지 작업툴의 사용법을 익혀 본다.
This course is a time to learn about the latest digital architecture that is the buzzword. Beyond the level of simply learning tools through lessons this course is focus on the background and process of exploring and acquiring new digital design methodology. Also this course is a process to learn the basics of how to use the digital CAD building creates a 2D drawing in 3D and how to use imaging tools and how to complete the presentation.
ARD4002	건축환경계획	Environmental Controls of Buildings
근대 건축모더니즘에 대하여 환경적 측면에서 비판하고, 현재 건축계획에서 과다하게 사용되는 근대건축재료와 구법이 어떻게 지구환경을 오염시키고 있는지 이해한다. 건물의 실내환경성능을 구성하고 있는 여러 인자에 대한 기초지식을 배우고 이를 바탕으로, 실용적인 건축실내 환경조절 원리를 이해하고 실습을 통하여 좀 더 실직적인 자연형(passive) 접근방식의 건축계획기법을 학습시킨다.
On recognition of the criticism of the modernism in architecture, the class deals with the passive approach for the building design. On the contrast to the attitude to excessive use of glass and buildings as ‘object’ per se, it lays emphasis on the more practical way to environmental controls of buildings especially for the architect.
ARD4031	한국건축사	History of Korean Architecture
궁궐, 사찰, 주거, 서원 등 한국의 전통건축을 대상으로 전통사상 및 문화와의 관계를 조명하고, 역사적, 양식적, 의장적 특징을 이해한다.
A study the Korean traditional architecture including royal palace, temple, housing and lecture hall contained memorial hall for Confucianist. We clarify the relationship between traditional thought or culture, and traditional architecture. We understand the characteristic about history, style and design.
ARD4041	건축설계3	Architectural Design 3
건축설계의 첫 스튜디오로 사회적, 부지의 물리적인 속성, 환경요소가 갖는 문제점을 건축물로서 해결하는 디자인 프로세스를 학습한다. (NCARB Design Level Ⅱ)

ARD4032	재료와 구법	Material and Tectonic
건축 구조재료와 건물 내 외부 마감재료와 건물 시공 방법에 대한 이해를 그 목적으로 한다. 건물 재료의 성질에 대한 학문적 고찰 보다는 현장에서 시공되고 사용되는 실예를 중심으로 학습한다.
The course guides students to learn the materials for structure, exterior and interior of buildings. Also to learn how to apply them in the design and construction processes on the site.
ARD4007	모더니즘과 현대건축	Modernism and Contemporary Architecture
근세 이후에 전개된 서양의 문화적, 사상적 배경에서 비롯된 근대건축의 전개과정과 계보를 통하여 현대건축의 이해를 도모한다. 특히 60년대 이후 근대건축의 비판과 함께 시작된 현대건축의 동향에 대하여 사회적, 문화적 맥락에서 파악하고 작가별, 작품별 특징을 익힌다.
The course presents selected topic on major issues addressed in architecture in the modern movement and during the 20th and 21st century focusing the tendency of contemporary architects and architecture.

ARD4034	동양건축사	History of East Asian Architecture
한국의 전통건축과 밀접한 관계에 있는 중국, 일본의 건축에 대하여 문화적 배경을 이해하고 도성, 궁궐, 주거, 사찰 등의 건축적 특징에 대하여 3국간의 관계를 살핀다.
We will understand the cultural background for Chinese and Japanese architecture that is related closely with Korean traditional architecture, and consider the relationship between the three countries to the architectural characteristics of castle town, palace, housing, and temple. Introductory overview of architectural practice in architectural design and the related fields focusing on design process, building science and construction market, project management, communication with client and developer, social responsibility and professional role, etc.
ARD4043	지속가능한 도시건축과 대중교통시스템	Sustainable Urban Architecture and Public Transit System
기후변화와 탄소저감 시대정신과 사회적 요구에 대응한 지속가능한 도시 대중교통체계와 이에 기반한 대규모 도시건축(광장, 철도역, 고밀주거, 쇼핑몰백화점, 문화예술시설 등), 도시보행체계의 주요 도시설계 기법과 국내 외 사례의 학습
In response to climate change and carbon reduction efforts, this undergraduate course aims to learn about a set of urban design principles of public transit and pedestrian system as well as large-scaled urban architecture such as railway station, plaza and garden, high-density housing complex, shopping mall and department store, and mixed use culture and art complex via reviewing of TOD related theoretical backgrounds and several cases in Seoul, Tokyo, London, Stuttgart, Hong Kong, etc.

도시적 맥락에서의 복잡한 건물이나 여러 개의 복합건물의 합성, 기술적 정보의 통합, 복잡한 건물과 관련시스템의 전반적 통합에의 숙달, 수송 및 교통, 도시계획과 건축의 사회적 측면 이해한다.
The course aims simple and complex building case studies with qualitative technical input, individual and group projects, total building synthesis developed, general proficiency in the total synthesis of complex buildings and related systems, transportation, communication, life-safety systems, and social ramification of planning and architecture.
ARD4015	건축종합설계2	Intergrated Architectural Design2
정량적인 기술측면의 요구조건을 만족시키는 단순한 건물 또는 복합건물 사례연구. 개인과제와 그룹과제 진행. 건물시스템의 통합화. 복합건물 및 건물군을 다룰 수 있는 최소한의 능력과 함께 단순한 건물의 완전한 설계 능력을 갖춤. 대지분석 및 설계를 학습한다. (NCARB Design Level Ⅲ)

ARD4036	건축과 컴퓨터	Computer Application to Architecture
컴퓨터를 이용한 건축디자인의 visualization을 목표로 BIM개념에 의한 3D modeling 소프트웨어와 CAD를 이용하여 건축물이 2D drawing과 3D model 방법과 walk through, texture and shadow simulation 등의 각종 방법을 학습한다.
Comprehensive studies on the application methodology of walk through, texture and shadow simulation including 2D drawing and 3D model by means of BIM-based CAD and 3D modeling software to provide an overview of the visualization of design computing applications and their use in practice
ARD4037	건축과 도시설계	Urban Design and the Built Environment
커뮤니티, 도시, 지역 환경, 그리고 이를 물리적으로 완성시키는 필지, 블록, 네이버후드, 도시의 중심부의 도시설계언어와 계획 이론들을 테마별로 고찰하고, 도시설계와 환경계획 과정에서의 핵심 이슈, 사회적 가치와 갈등, 물리적환경의 문제, 문제해결을 위한 공공의 계획수립과 실현화 과정을 사례를 통해 학습한다.
An introductory lecture for the field of physical planning and design of contemporary cities and regions, with a series of overview of urban design vocabularies and theoretical framework of environmental design principles.
ARD4038	건축과 도시문화	Urbanism and Public Realm
대표적인 세계도시와 도시 공공환경의 역사적 흐름과 장소적 가치와 특성을, 스트릿과 블러바드, 플라자, 공원과 가든, 도시수변환경, 대학캠퍼스 등의 구체적 사례를 통해, 공공환경과 도시와의 관계, 공공환경의 기능과 형태, 계획과 실현화의 과정, 운영과 관리에 관해 학습한다.
This course is an introductory lecture that overview the field of urban public space in city design. We will study the quality of public realm in urban environment as well as formal design language of form, structure and dimension for urban public space. The course proceed as a pair of literature reviews of theoretical framework as well as cases of urban design intervention for urban public places of exemplary projects of particular location including street, boulevard, square, plaza, common, garden, park, waterfront, university campus, etc.
ARD4039	건축실무와 법제도	Practice of Architecture
한국과 서양의 건축전문직의 발전배경과 역할을 이해하고 건축직능의 업무, 건축프로젝트의 관리, 건축사사무소의 운영, 건축사의 책임과 전문직 윤리, 건축법제도를 이해한다.
The subject is concerned with the architectural profession in the west and Korea and especially with the modern societal context, covering project management, design office management, professional ethics, and legal framework of architectural practice.
ARD4040	건축기술2	Building Technology 2: Building Construction Process and Management
건물의 시공에 필요한 물적, 인적, 기술적 자원을 효율적으로 운용할 수 있는 시공절차 및 건설관리에 대하여 이해한다.
An introductory study of principles and practices for effective management of human resources, construction materials, and technological application in building construction procedure and construction management.
